Camelia Skikos’ latest collection is inspired by the poetic and symbolic paintings of Georgia O’Keeffe

Camelia Skikos` design philosophy stems from a continuing fascination with the way garments can make an impact on our lives, based on the unconscious relations between the human being and the garments we wear.

Comprehending metaphysics of the form and its antipode, volumes and silhouettes, surfaces and voids, contours and texture, the Permision to Bloom collection is inspired by the poetic and symbolic paintings of Georgia O’Keeffe.

Her sensual recordings of shape and color translate in this collection through the sharp silhouettes and juxtapositions of delicate and strong fabrics creating a visual and tactile accumulation of contrasts.

Camelia Skikos` ideology stands for consciousness and humanity. In an effort to maintain a small environmental footprint, this collection was created out of leftover fabrics from past collections, made locally in limited quantities.
