designboom : Designed by milan-based interior architect piero lissoni, the ‘conservatorium hotel’ has opened its doors to guests
in the historic museum district of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Adjoined to the 19th century sweelinck music conservatorium
by dutch architect Daniel Knuttel, the venue includes 129 luxury guest rooms, meeting spaces, well-being spa and restaurants and bars
of diverse atmospheres. a full-height glazed atrium meets the original masonry exterior, while a corten steel stair and multiple catwalks
accentuate their meeting points through arched windows and portals within the brick facade.
