Makers With Agendas is a new design capacity engaged in thinking, producing and distributing design. Established in 2013 by Julien De Smedt and William Ravn, Makers With Agendas addresses today’s world. They explore new design typologies for a new society. MWA will be launched this autumn at Maison & Objet in Paris, Design September in Brussels, MWA Store in Copenhagen and the New Museum store in New York.
Take a look at their first products, below:
ACCORDION
The most compact trestle in the world – It spreads out laterally rather than folding, creating a stand for a tabletop.
In a simple accordion-like movement, its legs fold back into a slender stick.
BUTTERFLY
Time wasted on finding keys led to the design of Butterfly.
Butterfly is a dual coat hook that keeps your wallet and keys right where you need them.
STILT
A moveable and flexible alternative to fixing artworks to the wall that doubles up as a shelf.
With Stilt your pictures can simply stand on an adjustable support leaving complete freedom of rearrangement.
SWING
Revisiting an ‘80s invention this single handed tray holds your servings without spilling.
T42
A tea set for two where both cups embrace the teapot is their tribute to conversation.
