Pages by Sophie Nuttall

Stationery and ring-bound sheets of paper motivated this collection by Westminster fashion graduate Sophie Nuttall.

“I fused a variety of white and cream fabrics, mostly neoprene, to develop composition and reflect the huge blank place of a page aspiring to the subtle distinct tones of various webpages,” Nuttall told Dezeen.

Modest holes have been laser cut together the edges of material, mimicking paper punctured down its binding edge. “Trying to mimic the printer paper from my childhood with its gap perforated edges, I liked the concept of one thing getting so blank and pure,” explained Nuttall.

White circular reinforcements have been applied all around more substantial eyelets that acted as arm, shoulder or head holes. Steel rings linked the holes with each other so no sewing was essential and each and every piece was produced detachable so it could be related to other individuals in various ways.

Square shapes ended up folded and draped to produce a selection of silhouettes including rectangular and diamond shapes. Some components have been patterned with lines or grids to look like internet pages from a faculty workout guide.
