Paper Wedding Dress by Dana Jasinkevica & Dita Enikova

Two fashion design students from Latvia have created a swan inspired paper wedding dress from more than a thousand paper leaves. Originally presented on a mannequin, the dress is worn by a real model, Ilze Puga, for a photo shoot entitled “Swan in Oil.Before and After”, which shows how surprisingly wearable the dress is.

Made for a fashion exhibition in Riga, the dress resembles the white plumage of the elegant winged avian — the designers have also re-invented the traditional, pure white wedding dress by splattering their paper gown with paint, as if depicting the tragic end of the creature.
