Raised by Jule Waibel

Jule Waibel transforms simple sheet materials into three-dimensional objects, with the additional capability that they can transform, expand and contract.

From Paper to RealityInspired by Mary Poppins’ seemingly never-ending bag, Jule made a range of transforming objects for her collection ‘Entfaltung’. Made out of Tyvek paper, this collection has since been exhibited in various exhibitions as well as the windows of Bershka fashion stores all around the world. Jule has developed her collection further with the addition of new pieces made from fabric.

A dress that changes its shape according to the movement of the body, an expandable bag and an umbrella, are all made of pleated fabric. The project celebrates the beauty found between geometry, transformation and play.
