Cafe-restaurant Story is the gem of the Old Market Hall in Helsinki. It offers straightforward market hall food, enjoying fresh ingredients found at the market hall and the market square. Story also boasts Helsinki’s finest outdoor seating. Set between the sea and the market hall, the tables offer views of the brand new Helsinki Sky Wheel, as well as the sea.
Story opened its doors in June 2014, together with the renovated Old Market Hall. The hall was first opened in 1889 and is a cultural heritage site protected by the National Board of Antiquities. Story is situated in the middle of the market hall, a space originally used for loading horse carriages. The interior decoration fits the original architecture, but brings a new, fresh flavour with a modern touch.
