The new Student Hotel in Barcelona features a reinterpreted beach bar as reception

After signing the design of the first Campus in the Marina district, Masquespacio has revealed the new Student Hotel in Barcelona’s Poble Sec neighborhood. The Campus, housed in a 2500 m2 building on the central avenue Avenida Paralel, consists of 97 rooms with shared kitchens exclusively for students. A first highlight of the project is the wide façade that offers views to the common areas of the students’ accomodations. Passersby can see the wide range of services offered by the Campus, such as the lounge that includes gaming and video zones, a gym and a study room with the typical The Student Hotel style that combines bold colors and industrial materials.

The main focal point of the design though is the reception represented by a yellow module that reinvents a beach bar in an almost sculptural way. The motivating quotes on the walls are inspired by the millennial lifestyle of the Campus’ residents.

Finally, the graphic patterns are omnipresent, while a touch of the Memphis style and the Mediterranean freshness can also be recognized.
