The 900 sq meters Capodopera multibrand store in Bucharest, designed by Studio 1408, is a brand that is known to fuse luxury clothing with casual trends. The architects wanted to express the combination of simplicity and functionality of the space with Bucharest minimal loft-style materials and a general sense of ease, while adding and emphasizing a new concept: the flow of people. By coming up with a circulation plan as an urban planner might locate new roads within a city, they made careful provisions for people to flow into the shop naturally and move smoothly around it.
The design concept primarily translates into simple lines of the clothes hangers, together with special lighting and powerful contrast, that will make clothes “pop up”.
The formal language defined by the basic geometries of solid, plane and line, materializes with brushed wood, mirrors, stones and metals in white, gray and black tones to achieve the ideal atmosphere for exhibiting the highest quality product in an attractive play of reflections, shades and lights.
The progression of spaces organizes the store in sequential areas that highlight the identity of the collections in order to give appropriate value to each brand exposed.
