Though many households in developing countries still brighten the darkness with candle light, it is too dark to lead an everyday life with only one candle. So they thought: ‘What if you could light up a room with just one candle?’ Lumir C turns a LED light on only with heat energy of a candle without any external power supply. It is shaped after a lighthouse that lights up a dark sea. Lumir is simple – just putting it over a lighted candle will turn the LED on, eco-friendly – it doesn’t use any batteries, cordless – it doesn’t need any wires or outlets, and has a friendly minimal design.
