Masquespacio updates Gnomo’s eighties design with a contemporary touch

Gnomo is a store specialising in original objects and decorations that opened in Valencia in 2010 as an ode to design and a particular lifestyle. To celebrate their sixth birthday, they moved to a new location in the popular quarter of Ruzafa in Valencia and chose Masquespacio to design their new home.

The designers decided to maintain the eighties aspect of the space adding a contemporary touch to it. A granite floor with a smooth colour was added, mixed with white walls and a touch of blue and green to create a cheerful and lively feeling, but without creating a visual disorder.

A series of tables and display elements easy to move were custom-made. The intention was to offer the store the possibility of changing the exhibiting style at any time depending on the actual type of products on sale. All elements were designed exclusively for Gnomo, with the exception of the counter desk.
