Trompe l’oeil carved wooden upholstery by Ruskasa

Ruskasa: “Rüskasa draws influence from Scandinavia and Japan, creating modern heirloom pieces, where materials – maple, beech and walnut – are the focus. Each is built by hand, using labour-intensive techniques given up by many companies seeking quick turnarounds. The results are clear to see in its RU-ST007 bench, with its trompe l’oeil wooden upholstery seat and the natural twisted paper accents of the RU-LC002 chair.”

“Returning to Tent London after 2012′s inaugural pavilion sponsored and organized by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan and Taiwan Design Center, Fresh Taiwan will present pieces by 12 of the country’s most innovative studios, showcasing its dedication to craftsmanship, culture and heritage through contemporary design.”
