Twin House is located on an overcrowded residential area in Kouchi, Japan. y+M design office designed the house divided into two volumes so that they can fit the neighbouring house and reduce the feeling of pressure. To ensure the natural light into the courtyard they reduced the height of the volume, and to ensure ventilation they connected the courtyard to the parking. There is also a glass curtain wall around this courtyard which creates an airy and open atmosphere.
