Well House is a total refurbishment of an Edwardian terraced property, with a side and rear extension and comprises of full ground floor reconfiguration, a single story lower ground floor full width extension with structural glazed box, new lowered basement level with double height light well and new attic bathroom. The new extension creates a more open connection to the garden from the new dining area, more light and views of the garden from the kitchen area and much more space at the rear lower ground level. The openness of the newly configured ground and basement means that there is an interesting play of levels between ground, lower ground and basement with all three spaces connected by a central double height void and staircases either side.
Bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces include bespoke built-in joinery and luxurious fittings whilst also retaining and restoring original features. The new attic en suite makes the most of the space and limited headroom by its clever configuration and gives an additional bathroom as part of a new guest suite. The garden is accessed from the new dining area with large glass sliding doors giving a seamless connection from inside to out when open.
